Syllabus
Theory
The WSET Level 1 course offers an introduction to the world of beer. In classes you learn about the main raw materials such as malt, hops, yeast and water, different beer styles and their production processes. The course is offered in English only (international standard).
Tasting
In the two classes we begin with systematic beer tasting, tasting 6 styles in each session. Your instructor will guide you step by step through the tasting technique. At Level 1 we start with the basics, so each student can become familiar with this method comfortably. Beer tasting is not part of the exam.
Exam
The WSET Level 1 beer exam consists of 30 multiple choice questions. At least 21 must be answered correctly to pass. We offer the opportunity to retake the exam at least twice a year.
